Anson Williams, born Anson William Heimlich, is an American television actor, producer and director. He was born in Los Angeles, California on September 25th, 1949. He is best known for playing the role of goofy buddy Potsie Webber on the 1970s TV sitcom Happy Days. Having long since shucked his varsity sweater, Anson turned towards directing and has helmed episodes of such notable shows as Star Trek: Voyager, Melrose Place, 7th Heaven, Beverly Hills, 90210, Charmed, The Nightmare Room, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Lizzie McGuire.
